First Find the Source of the Reflection

Check your usual screen position in the morning, at midday and in the evening. Is the reflection from the window or a desk lamp? If closing the blind does not solve it, try repositioning the lamp too.

OSHA's workstation guide recommends positioning the screen at right angles to the window and using blinds to reduce direct light. If moving the desk is impractical, try small changes to the screen angle. The aim is to see your work surface while limiting reflections from the bright window.

Choose Around Your Working Hours

Sunlight that bothers you only in the afternoon may not require the same setting all day. Also check how your face and the window behind you appear on video calls. This helps you explain the light control you want from the product.

Trend Stor Perde offers separate pleated, day-and-night and roller blind collections. A collection name alone does not show how much screen reflection will be reduced. Ask about the specific fabric's light transmission and how the mechanism adjusts; do not decide by colour alone.

Check Window Movement and Access to the Controls

If your desk is in front of the window, consider whether you can reach the blind controls from your seat. Check the movement of the handle, sash and blind when opening the window. A layout that requires moving the desk every time you adjust the blind can be inconvenient.

Prepare order measurements according to the selected product's instructions. Do not reuse allowances specified for a different blind type. Sharing a window photograph, the mounting surface and the desk position helps the seller assess the installation.

Prepare a Short Note Before Ordering

Describe the problem specifically instead of simply asking for office blinds. For example: ‘In the afternoon the window reflects on my screen; I open the window daily and want to retain daylight.’ This allows fabric and mounting choices to be considered together.

  • Note the times when reflections occur and the direction of the light.
  • Record how the window opens and the mounting surface.
  • If possible, assess a fabric sample in the light of the room where it will be used.
  • Confirm measurements and mounting method against the product instructions.
